Tibble Fork Resrvoir is a medium sized lake in American Fork Canyon that has beautiful crystal blue water and is surrounded by soaring mountain peaks. A sandy beach has recently been added to help increase the comfort of the swimmers and sunbathers. There are many nearby trails and even several other lakes further up the road. Box Elder Peak sits to the west, Mount Timpanogos to the south, and Tibble Fork Reservoir is up American Fork Canyon and one of my family’s favorites! It is nestled around by pines and mountain views. This is a great place for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding or other water activities. The Tibble Fork Loop Trail (trail #041 & #040) is located in American Fork Canyon, and starts at the Tibble Fork Reservoir, hence the appropriate name.This hike can be done year round, but I find it to be the prettiest during Winter when the trees are laden with snow, the reservoir is frozen over, and the trail offers a certain quietness.
